Bishop Gregory Norwood was born December 11, 1967 in Paterson, New Jersey

and was raised by His grandmother Amelia L. Norwood and attended public

school in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In his youth he was reared in the Harris Memorial Church under

the leadership of Apostle Robert Harris Jr. Gregory Played drums for the youth and adult choirs. He

then attended the Turners Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, International under the leadership

of Archbishop John C. White. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from

University of Michigan. Bishop Norwood crossed the burning sands of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.

He received his certification as a Mental Health Professional from The University of North Carolina

School of Social Work. He currently attends The Safe Haven Interdenominational Bible College

majoring in Biblical Studies.

Bishop Norwood Served for many years as Minister of music and Director of music and

fine arts. Bishop Norwood has played for some of gospel music greats, such as, Archbishop J.C White,

The late Bishop Richard (Mr. Clean) White, Albernita (Twinkie) Clark, Keith Pringle, Edwin Hawkins and many others.

Bishop Norwood was ordained Elder in the Lords church by Archbishop John C. White of The Church

of God in Christ, International. Bishop Norwood was installed senior pastor of True Worship

Christian Center in 2010. During this time, he founded The Fellowship of Covenant Churches

International where he was appointed Presiding Overseer in 2012. Bishop Norwood sits on

the board of the Ministerial Alliance Commission in Kernersville North Carolina, The Executive Board and

Board of Bishops for The Church of God in Christ International.

In 1998 Bishop Norwood married Sharon A. Hooper of Sanford, North Carolina. They

have one son Justin R. Norwood who attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In 2017

he was appointed as Overseer of the North Carolina and Louisiana Jurisdictions of The Church of God in Christ International.

Bishop Norwood has a professional interest in theology, and an amateur love of history,

in particular the history of the church. He is a spiritual motivator who is astute in world business

systems. He leads by example and has transformed church culture throughout his Jurisdictions amd the Church of God in Christ International.
